50 Cent Wins Another Round

50 aka Bugsy won again with his rich lawyers against his poor baby mama.

Article:

Rap mogul 50 Cent has won yet again, a restricted amount of time with his son, away from ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins.

Long Island Judge David Freundlich ruled on Monday that the rapper can see his 11-year-old son Marquise every other weekend until an October 22 custody trial in Suffolk Family Court.

The G-unit founder was mobbed by fans outside the courtroom, and disclosed to the New York Daily News that he plans to relax after closing another convoluted legal chapter with his child's mother.

"I'm going to hang out with some women," 50 Cent quipped. "Make some music, make some movies, and continue to kick it."

However, Tompkins' order of protection bars 50, real name Curtis Jackson, from having any direct contact with her. Tompkins has agreed to drop their son off every other Friday night at a police precinct in Queens. From that point, 50's mother or a driver will pick up the boy.

Both Jackson and Tompkins have lawsuits pending against one another, stemming from a suspicious fire in May that destroyed Jackson's $2.5 million dollar mansion in Dix Hills, Long Island.

Tompkins' suit alleges that 50 started the fire to renege on a previous verbal agreement made in 2000 to split income made from his rap career.

50 has vehemently denied her claims, and has countered with a $20 million dollar defamation lawsuit.

The Battle Rages On

For months the world has been privy to the ongoing drama between 50 Cent and his ex Shaniqua Tompkins. The two are in an extended legal battle, and their presence in the press has included stories of public shouting matches, love triangle fist fights, and a mysterious house fire. It's a tale ripe for a book deal. Shrewd business man 50 Cent, however, has managed to make sure his lover-turned-rival won't make a dime from it.

The music mogul managed to buy the rights to Tompkins' life story so she can never write a tell-all book about her relationship with 50 - real name Curtis Jackson. The woman has an 11-year-old son, Marquise, with Jackson and is currently in court with the rapper in custody and

"I bought the rights to her life story so she couldn't write a book," said 50. "I seen her being ridiculous; I knew her capabilities of going in that direction, so I bought the rights," he added.

The G-Unit boss has said that the legal troubles with his ex have stemmed from Tompkins receiving bad advice from her friends. This poor counsel included demands for more child support after 50 moved the woman and his son to a $1.5 million home in Long Island, NY so that the youngster could benefit from a quality school district. The entertainer's resistance to the demands ended in 50 winning a court order to evict Tompkins from the
home.

"Her lawyer decided to present to the public that 50 Cent is kicking his son out of the house." The house was destroyed earlier this year in a fire that authorities called "suspicious."

Since the fire, Tompkins has obtained a restraining order against her ex and has claimed that 50 is responsible for the blaze.

"Now they done kidnapped my first one (son). My son's mother got him, holding him hostage," said 50.

The custody case is scheduled to resume on September 15. child support cases.

THe winner Goes To Bugsy

A judge has ruled in favor of No Cent - this time:

Rapper 50 Cent can keep using his lawyer Brett Kimmel after beating a bid from ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins to have him thrown off the case. Tompkins - who the star is battling over a home he owns, and she lived in until it was burned down earlier this year - claimed Kimmel had a conflict of interest, because she attempted to hire him to represent her during her child support battle with 50 Cent three years ago.

But Kimmel and the rapper - who has an eleven year old son, Marquis, with Tompkins - successfully argued the two cases are unrelated and that Kimmel never had an attorney-client relationship with her. New York judge Carol Edmead has thrown out the bid. 50 Cent is attempting to overturn a court decision to freeze insurance money on the New York house.

Unlike the Simmons’, this is one couple who doesn’t seem to mind exposing their son to the full brunt of their insanity. Bugsy ought to break Shaniqua off properly and cease with all this damned drama already.

Update: According to OK Magazine No Cents is trying to get custody of young Marquis:

“I’m going to try and get him when I go to court on the 17th,” he [said]. “I’ll see if I can get him.”

The judge’s ruling is under the hood.

A Long Island judge granted [50] an unrestricted visit from August 3-12 with Marquise, his son with Shaniqua Tompkins. We’re told that both parties had to submit to drug tests at the courthouse before the judge would talk visits, and 50 was clean. Shaniqua tested positive … for cough meds.

Our spies tell us that Shaniqua claimed in court that 50 is keeping her from using her Land Rover SUV by keeping guards at the site of the house that was engulfed by flames last month. He denies that’s the case. Baby mama drama continues on September 15.

True Gold Diggin'

And with that suspect fire still under investigation, she just might get it too:

Paul Catsandonis, lawyer for 50 Cent ex Shaniqua Tompkins, has disclosed that his client is suing the rapper for $50 million dollars in damages resulting from a fire than destroyed the home she was living in.In May, a suspicious fire destroyed 50’s Long Island property, which the Queens mogul had successfully obtained eviction on for Tompkins.

In the fallout, Tompkins accused 50 of setting the fire himself to avoid having to honor an agreement made between them. She has since filed a restraining order. The NY State Supreme Court will hear arguments on July 15 regarding the insurance proceeds on the destroyed home. Suffolk County Family Court commences proceedings on July 17 to hear arguments for 50’s visitation rights.

So the Bugsy vs. Shaniqua saga continues. It’s never-ending with these two. SMH.

Heavy Drama

On the heels of the whole young Buck fiasco, No Cent is in the news yet again:

“Lawyers for 50 Cent are filing a defamation lawsuit against the mother of his 11-year-old son, in an attempt to prevent her from telling the media that he masterminded a May blaze that burnt down 50 Cent’s Long Island mansion.”

What exactly is he trying to get out of Shaniqua? She lost almost everything in the blaze. It’s never ending with these folks. SMH.

Things Ain’t Lookin So Bright for Shaniqua

A judge ruled in favor of Bugs Monkey this morning:

50 CENT’s ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins has been ordered to pay $4,500 (GBP2,250) in unpaid rent on the charred remains of the rapper’s New York Home. Lawyers for the two parties appeared at M

Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday for a hearing in relation to Tompkins’ $50 million breach of contract suit against the In Da Club star. But after hearing how Tompkins has been withholding her rent from the star since May, Justice Carol Edmead ruled she must hand over the cash in full - setting the deadline for Friday, June 13th.

[The jugde] told Tompkins’ attorney, Paul Catsandonis: “She better pay it by the end of the week. Do you understand?” Tompkins told the court: “We lost everything. All we have is the clothes we jumped out of the window with.”

Just a small victory for No Cents. But having lost damn near everything in the blaze, it may be a little bit of a challenge getting ole girl to cough up that payment. Check out pics of Shaniqua leaving the courthouse:

The Bugsoney Chronicles Continue

The battle rages on between Curtis and his former boo/baby-mom Shaniqua Tomkins:

“A judge has just told 50 Cent he can’t sell, unload or otherwise get rid of what used to be his $2 million crib in Long Island — not until they figure out what caused the fire.

The rapper has also been ordered to put any insurance money he gets from the toasted house in a trust account until his fight with ex-GF Shaniqua Tompkins is resolved.”

Yo Curtis you can't get broke off even tho it would be real nice. Ya gotta straighten her out first you know....Suspect indeed.
