Remy Marriage Confirmed

After all the hootenanny that went down with Remy Ma and her supposed Riker’s Island jailhouse marriage to Papoose, there has been confirmation that the two have indeed tied the knot.

Rapper Papoose has confirmed that he and incarcerated girlfriend and fellow rapper Remy Ma are married. The pair was reportedly making plans to exchange nuptials at New York’s Rikers Island jail in May, while Remy was awaiting sentencing for her part in a July 2007 shooting.

However, reports claimed the nuptials were called off at the last minute after Papoose was accused of attempting to break his bride-to-be out of prison - allegations the rapper denied.

Days after the failed wedding, Remy was sentenced to eight years behind bars. She had been found guilty of shooting Makeda Barnes Joseph over cash dispute outside a New York club last summer.

Now Papoose, real name Shamele Mackie, has confirmed they are a married couple - although he is refusing to divulge further information about when and where the ceremony took place.

When asked by XXL magazine if they have now wed, he replied, "Yep, that’s all I’m gonna say." The New York native insists their initial plans for a wedddingwere not intended to soften Remy’s image in time for her sentencing.

"Actually, that has nothing to do with the case, that was just the date," he added.

Remy Ma’s Victim is Looking to Collect

Remy Ma’s victim, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, is on a mission to get paid:

“In a lawsuit filed in the Bronx, Makeda Barnes-Joseph doesn’t just go after Remy, she wants coin from Remy’s music label and even the pizza joint where she and Remy were boozing before she got shot. She claims that Universal Music received ‘financial profit and economic benefit from the unlawful, violent and anti-social conduct’ of Ma. As for The Pizza Bar, Makeda says they kept serving Remy even though she was ‘visibly’ [drunk]“.

This chick has lost her mind. She’s suing every last one of them ho’s she believes is associated with getting capped. We’re surprised that she didn’t include the gun and bullet manufacturers her lawsuit. It’s pathetic what people will do to get a dollar.

Remy’s Sentence Delayed

Remy Ma’s sentence date has been pushed back from April 23rd to May 13th. Now she’ll have more time to put the finishing touches on that jailhouse wedding she’s been planning. Oh yeah and what the hell are you wearing, nothing like dressing equestrian in the city...yeah no so much...

New York City Radio Conflict

On Thursday February 28, 2008 Rapper 50 Cent was hosting New York City Radio and had Invited several rappers to join him on the show including Max B, Papoose and Remy Ma. While 50 Cent was interviewing Max B, Papoose walked into the studio. When Max B went to say whats up to him and give him a pound thats when Papoose told him "put your hand away, what's up with that slick shit you was saying about Kay Slay on the internet?" Before Max B could reply, Papoose went to approach him, but fortunately 50 Cent was able to get in the middle of the two rappers and seperate them.

The Next day...

On Friday Feb 29 in North Corolina Papoose,Cassidy,Fat Joe,Gucci Mane,Yo Gotti,and Fabolous were booked to perform at The Criquet Arena. Before the show could go on, the Main Event happened earlier at The Holiday Inn Hotel in North Carolina, where the rappers had been staying at .Sources from Cassidy's crew tell us that Cassidy had asked Papoose to come to his room so they could talk. Papoose eventually came to his room and while the two rappers were talking, all of the sudden Fat Joe and 9 Members of his Entourage storm right into Cassidy's room. Fat Joe suddenly starts yelling at Papoose, "You Got A Problem With Me?" and Papoose replied, "No, do you have a problem?" When Fat Joe responds " yeah, I got a problem with you," thats when Papoose swung at Fat Joe, punching him in the face twice. Before you knew it all hell broke loose. Sources tell us that Fat Joe and his crew rushed the rapper and Hotel security had to seperate the fight before Law Enforcement could get to the Hotel. Sources tells us that they heard Papoose yelling at Joe, "Come on Bitch ass nigga lets take this shit outside give me a fair one."
