Beyonce's new album has a release date, and guest appearances:
While details have been largely kept under wraps, some information has emerged about Beyoncé’s forthcoming, still-untitled third solo LP, which is slated for release on November 18 on Music World Music/ Columbia. Justin Timberlake will appear on the LP, although further details on his involvement were not available at press time. Timberlake told reporters outside the show, “I’ll be in the studio this week with Beyoncé. Who knows what will come out of that?” Beyoncé co-wrote or co-produced all the material on the album, which the label says comprises “her most personal, reflective and revelatory collection to-date.” Songwriter/ producer Sean Garrett (Mary J. Blige, Usher, Fergie) revealed to MTV News on the VMA red carpet that he’s been Beyoncé’s album. “I got to get a big secret out: Beyoncé!” he said. “I just finished some incredible records with her. She’s probably going to be mad at me for telling you all — sorry, B!”
Here’s one of her tracks called “Stop Sign.” Stans, let us know what you think:
Time for us to give you a round up and catch up what went down ova the weekend bringing you up to today's current events
starting with the Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall which airs tonight.
Big Dogs came out last night and were in attendance for the Conde Nast Media Group’s Fifth Annual Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall. The highlight of the night was when Beyonce broke out sportin a short blonde doo during one of her performances and looked “gooood”!
She performed with Justin Timberfake as well. The list of ”Bosses” that came out are, Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole, , Mary J, Mariah, Rihanna, Ciara,…
Beyonce speaks on being over her pop star status in the October issue of Marie Claire:
I’m over being a pop star. I don’t wanna be a hot girl. I wanna be iconic. And I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot. I feel like I’m highly respected, which is more important than any award or any amount of records. And I feel like there comes a point when being a pop star is not enough.’
B’, as she’s called at home, will also admit to being a workaholic. There’s an as-yet untitled new album due out in November; then there’s her movie career, in particular Cadillac Records, co-starring Adrien Brody, which tells the story of Chicago label Chess Records. Her character, the Grammy-winning blues legend Etta James, battled a decade-long heroin addiction. ‘I’ve been saying for a long time that I wanted to do something dark. People are going to be very shocked. It’s the complete opposite of me. It was very emotionally draining. I was exhausted.’
She researched the role by visiting a drop-in centre in Brooklyn, New York. ‘I was really afraid. I didn’t know what I would see, because I’d never seen anything like that. I didn’t want to ask questions that were inappropriate, but [the people there] were very open and I have a new understanding. I never judge, but I just didn’t understand how, if you had children and so many things
to lose, you could be so deep into your addiction that you just let all of that go.’Does she feel she’s paved the way for more African-American women to achieve huge success? ‘I am really proud that I am one of the artists that has the opportunity to be on magazine covers and to be in the movies. And I do think that I’m opening doors for more black women, just like Halle [Berry] and Diana Ross opened doors for me.’
More House of Deredookie is in store for the future:
Beyoncé Knowles and her mother, Tina, are known for glamming it up with piles of diamond jewelry by the likes of Lorraine Schwartz, but now the duo wants to offer bling at an accessible price. Industry sources say Deréon, the junior sportswear brand founded by the Knowleses, has inked a deal with Carolee jewelry to create a fashion jewelry collection for the label. The line is expected to hit stores in spring.
Interesting..
Nothing exciting here, just everyone’s favorite married couple Beyonce and Jay-Z trying to make clear getaway after having dinner at the Waverly Inn in NYC. We wonder when they’re going to start hearing the pitter-patter of little camel toes.
According to the “National Enquirer” Bey is feelin the heat to pop one:
It’s boom time for babies in Hollywood - but newlywed Beyonce’s not about to join the club anytime soon! And that’s a problem for both her husband Jay-Z AND her mom, say sources. They’ve joined forces to persuade the sexy singer to slow down and have a baby. “Beyonce’s getting double-teamed to give in and get pregnant,” a longtime family family friend told The Enquirer. “Both her husband and her mother want to see her have a child.” But super-busy Beyonce has her career calendar blocked out solid for the next two years, and says there’s just no time for kids yet. “Jay-Z is ready to have children,” said another source. “He and Beyonce dated for years, now they’re married, and for him it’s time for children.”
SMH.
“Ask Yeezy / I got girls on shoulders showing me their chi-chis,” Jay raps to the NYC audience. “I’m like life ain’t fair / Chill baby girl, my girl is here.”
How precious…
On the brighter side, peep Jay-Z the Camel and Bey (rockin the Barack Obama tee no less) all cozied up together on the streets of NYC Tuesday.
More of the Armani/Knowles connection. Beyonce models a Giorgio Armani suit in the new issue of Fashion Rocks:
[Fashion Rocks is] a special magazine that will be included with the September issues of Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair and Allure magazines. The magazine is a tie-in with the big Fashion Rocks concert at Radio City Music Hall on the opening night of Fashion Week in New York on September 5.
We have to admit looks aiight in that editorial swag, but then again it’s kinda hard not to look good in Armani.
Kelly Rowland says Destiny’s Child may reunite next year:
The trio split up in 2005, with Rowland, Michelle Williams and Beyonce Knowles all going on to forge successful solo careers. However Rowland is convinced that the group will reunite within the next 12 months - as she misses working with her former band mates.
She says, “Me and the girls never split up - we are as close as we always were, like sisters, and we may do some projects next year.”
We can’t help but to wonder if her enthusiasm isn’t due to her failed solo attempt. Poor thang.
