Ne-Yo: F*ck You, Pay Me

A Los Angeles judge today (September 2) ordered a Georgia based tour promotion company to pay over $700,000 to R&B singer Ne-Yo for breaching a contract related to R. Kelly's ‘Double Up' tour.

As reported earlier, Ne-Yo sued Rowe Entertainment Inc. in March claiming that someone from R. Kelly's camp asked the company to kick him off the tour because he was outshining Kelly.

Ne-Yo claimed Rowe had agreed to pay him $785,000 for appearing on the‘Double Up’ tour.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Judge Malcolm Mackey signed a $700,320 default judgment against Rowe Entertainment on Tuesday for failing to respond to the lawsuit.

When news of Ne-Yo's lawsuit surfaced, Kelly’ s camp denied having anything with the singer's removal from the tour. Kelly was not named as a defendant in the lawsuit.

R. Kelly's Reps 'Put A Fork' In Scam Claims

(WENN) R&B star R. Kelly has denied involvement in an alleged $130,000 tour ticket scam. The singer has been accused of profiting from a fraud in South Africa after a local woman,

Busiswe Zakwe, was arrested on suspicion of swindling investors. It is claimed she promised them they would benefit from ticket sales if they brought an R. Kelly tour to the country in 2005. The concerts never happened, but Zakwe allegedly kept the money and deposited some of it into the star's bank account. But the singer denies any knowledge of the incident, and insists he doesn't even know who Zakwe is.

R. Kelly Ruins Careers

R&B cat Joe is claiming that Kellz is the reason why his songs got no play on the radio.

R&B singer Joe has accused R. Kelly of trying to derail his career by pressuring radio DJs not to play his records. The singer released six albums with Jive Records over an 11 year period, but left the label earlier this year after the company pushed back the release of his 2007 LP, Ain’t Nothin Like Me, several times.

The Grammy winner believes fellow Jive artist R. Kelly was to blame, claiming the singer would call Jive bosses and radio singer and urge them not to promote the singer too heavily, according to reports.

"R. Kelly was very instrumental in making a lot of decisions when it came to my records being played on the radio," Joe said.

"He would make a call to the radio station or to the label and say, ‘Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Y’all (sic) need to pull that back.’ And they would oblige. It’s incredible that now I get the opportunity to, I don’t know, maybe pay (R. Kelly) back in some sort of side bar kind of thing."

And Joe, who left Jive to release his forthcoming LP New Man through Kedar Entertainment Group, insists that despite R. Kelly’s alleged intervention, he's still got plenty of stake in the industry.

He says, "I’m still very relevant in the game. But yeah, he did try to make some decisions when it came down to my records being on fire, and climbing up the charts and on the radio stations."

More Shenanigans With Your Boy Kellz

Damn this dude was found not guilty, but the bullsh*t still isn’t over.

Star Witness Says R. Kelly Camp Threatened to Kill Her
. According to pre-trial documents just unsealed, Lisa Van Allen - the prosecution's star witness in R. Kelly's infamous child pornography - says her life was threatened by one of the singer's entourage, reports TMZ.com.

Van Allen claims to have had sex with Kelly and the alleged victim in the case, which ended last week with the R&B star acquitted on all charges. A pre-trial statement made by Van Allen alleges that an "employee" of R. Kelly said she should've been killed for tattling on the entertainer. No charges were ever filed in connection with the threat.

Van Allen also revealed that she was paid $100K by an R. Kelly associate for another sex tape starring her and another allegedly underage girl.

Can You Believe It!!!!!!Not Guilty.

Now ain’t this a b**ch?!?!?!?!

A Cook County jury on Friday acquitted R&B superstar R. Kelly of child pornography charges, marking the end of a high-profile trial rich in courtroom drama and celebrity intrigue.

The 41-year-old singer, whose real name is Robert Kelly, long denied charges that he videotaped himself engaging in a variety of sex acts with his then-underage goddaughter. Authorities said the female in the video could have been as young as 13 at the time.

The jury of nine men and three women deliberated for 7 ½ hours before finding Kelly not guilty on all 14 counts.

The verdict ends a bizarre case that had languished for nearly six years. During almost four weeks of testimony, the jury heard about three-person sexual encounters and watched a sex tape in which the male participant is seen urinating on a female.

For the right price - you can buy your way out of anything. SMH.

R. Kelly Allegedly Offered Woman $250,000 For Sex Tape

Lisa Van Allen told jurors she first had sex with Kelly and the alleged victim in front of a camera in 1998.

R. Kelly has been accused of offering a woman $250,000 to potentially cover-up damning footage of him having sex with an underage girl.

The troubled R&B star stands accused of videotaping himself having sex with a 13-year-old girl. He has pleaded not guilty to all 14 counts of child pornography.

On Monday, Lisa Van Allen told jurors she first had sex with Kelly and the alleged victim in front of a camera in 1998.

Van Allen claims the incident took place in the same Illinois home where prosecutors say the sex tape at the center of the case also was made.

She told jurors she cried throughout a second sexual encounter in 1999 with Kelly and the alleged victim, whom she believed to be 16.

In her testimony, Van Allen claims Kelly last year offered her the money to recover a tape of one of his sexual encounters. She claims she was later given just $20,000 after one of Kelly's associates collected the tape from a hotel in Chicago.

Van Allen also testified that Kelly carried a duffel bag containing his homemade sex tapes everywhere he went.

She told the court, "Wherever he was at, the bag would follow him."

However, defense attorneys accused her of trying to extort the singer. They will open their case on Wednesday.

Diss File: R. Kelly Disses Ne-Yo, Drops Him From Tour

Whos the Beast? Kelly? or Ne Yo?

Photobucket
Here is just a glimpse at the so called "Diss song" for Ne Yo. After reading it I couldnt help but wonder how it was related to the R&B writer/singer/producer. It sounds like another one of those hate songs aimed at someone random. There are no real fingers being pointed so the credibility of the rumor isnt as strong as listeners would like it to be. Now, if the song would have been titled "F*** Ne Yo" then that would be a different story. I guess its one of those underground hollyhood things that the public will never understand, like inside jokes of the rich and famous. If you want to crack to code and explain how it relates to him, feel free to comment. Please, were dying for an explantaion.
Im A Beast:
"Never been a snitch boy,
Never been a b*tch boy,
Why I gotta hate on you -
Look at me I'm rich boy,
You a steering wheel -
The way you ride my d*ck boy,
You say you a go getter
Go get your own sh*t boy"

Pied Piper Speaks Out

A rep for Robert Kelly has words for the accusations by George and Regina Daniels:
“It’s hard to take seriously the moral outrage expressed by George and Regina Daniels over R. Kelly’s relationship with Mr. Daniels’ adult daughter, Maxine. The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship — indeed, they encouraged it — while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly’s payroll.

It was Regina Daniels, then working as a publicist for Mr. Kelly, who persuaded him to attend her step-daughter’s 21st birthday party. And it was Regina Daniels who shortly thereafter gave her step-daughter Mr. Kelly’s private phone number
with the admonition: ‘Don’t tell your father.’ It was only after Ms. Daniels resigned her position to avoid being fired for incompetence that her stepdaughter’s relationship suddenly became an issue for her and her husband.”
SMH, at least she was 21 this time. Pimpin out their own daughter to Mr. "Age Ain't Nothing
But a Number”, a damn shame.

R. Kelly Accused Of Sexual Fling With Ex-publicist's Daughter

The husband of R. Kelly's former publicist Regina Daniels claims his wife severed ties with the R+B star because of a sexual relationship the singer had with their daughter.

Regina quit her longtime post in November 2007 amid rumors R. Kelly - who faces 14 counts of having sex with a minor in a trial in May 2008 - had embarked on an intimate romance with her then-21-year-old daughter Maxine.

And now music industry veteran George Daniels has confirmed the singer's involvement with their daughter was what caused his wife to terminate her contract with Kelly.

He says, "He crossed the line with my daughter. It didn't get to the extreme of that (alleged sex tape) video or else I wouldn't be here, if you know what I'm talking about."

Though Maxine was of legal age, George claims Kelly still took advantage of her.

He adds, "When you're 21, and if you've been there already like I've been many years ago, you're still 15 to 16 mentally. You're vulnerable."

And George - who was aware of rumors of Kelly's fling with his daughter - was furious when he originally confronted the singer.

He says, "He denied it. He lied to me to my face. The reason that I'm talking abut this, it's not just for me, it's not for my wife, it's not for my daughter, but it's for the public.

"It's for other fathers and mothers because it doesn't have to be a superstar, it could be the dude on the corner. There are guys who sit around and give your child a couple of bucks to go to school and then wait until they get a little older, then they set that trap. See, so I'm doing this really for everyone."

Ne-Yo Isn’t Petty

The Grammy Awards may be about the competition, pitting artist against artist, but according to Ne-Yo, he's more of a unifier. He says that's the case even if there are some who want to slow the freshly minted Grammy winner's roll. He's looking at you, R. Kelly.

Ne-Yo — who won Best Contemporary R&B Album for his Because of You LP — spoke with MTV News late last week in Los Angeles about getting booted from Kelly's Double Up tour in November, after which his camp sued the tour's promoter in December for breach of contract.

"That's something that my management and my lawyers are doing," the singer/songwriter said. "Me personally? I've let it go. I'm not the hold-a-grudge guy. I'm not gonna see R. Kelly in the street and run up on him and swing on him. I'm not gonna do a dis record about R. Kelly. It was what it was. It happened. For whatever reason, he, I don't know, I guess felt threatened by me and kicked me off tour. Life goes on.

"I don't have a problem with the man," he continued. "It's apparent he has a problem with me — he kicked me off tour."

But if the Pied Piper isn't interested in Ne-Yo, the young R&B star certainly isn't fretting — there are plenty of other artists out there that do want his services. He recently fielded calls from Usher, John Legend, Ciara, LeToya Luckett and Janet Jackson, all of whom have requested songwriting contributions.

Ne-Yo said he couldn't divulge too much information on his clients, citing artist/collaborator confidentiality, but he said he and Usher discussed ways to make the fleet-footed singers sound more mature. "He's not the 'Yeah!' guy anymore. He's matured a little bit," Ne-Yo said. "So we have to find a way to balance his maturity with his fanbase, which goes from the youngest to the oldest."

Although Ne-Yo has his hands more than full, the Def Jam artist said he's quietly gearing up to start work on his third album, the follow-up to last year's Because of You. No solid foundation has been set so far for the project, which is still untitled at this point.

"I'm just figuring out where I want to go," Ne-Yo said. "Me being an artist, I can't do the same [thing] two, three and four times. I have to find the next thing. That's the current battle: trying to figure where to go now. I know I want to do R&B, but at the same time, I want to be the kind of artist that can do a duet with a John Mayer and [have] it makes sense."

"I have no idea [how it's going to sound]," Ne-Yo added. "But figuring it out is gonna be fun."
