Da Brat was sentenced to 3 years in the pen for splitting a girls wig with a bottle at a club last year. Mimi sure is going to miss her side deal. Do let your ego or temper get ya, because this is what happens, no body is above the law brat. A little advice try some anger management and hopefully you get your life in order and then maybe your career again, whats left of it.

Rapper Da Brat was sentenced to three years behind bars, seven years of probation and 200 hours of community service Friday morning (August 22) for striking a woman in the face with a rum bottle. The October 2007 incident at an Atlanta-area nightclub left the victim’s face permanently scarred.

According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gail Flake handed down the punishment, while about six members of the rapper’s family quietly wept inside the courtroom. Da Brat (born Shawntae Harris) told her relatives “I love y’all” as she was led out of the courtroom by sheriff’s deputies. “We love you too,” they replied.

At least time in the pen is not going to interrupt her sex game. Not a good year for Lisa Raye or cousin Da Brat

According to SOHH, Da Brat could face up to a year in the clink:

[Da Brat] struck a plea deal with prosecutors for her role in a club brawl last Halloween. For those of y’all who don’t remember Shawntae got buck wild at Jeramine Dupri’s costume party where Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey were in attendance which resulted in a cocktail waitress’s face getting smashed in by a full bottle of alcohol.The washed up MC was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and has been out on bail ever since. Da Brat is scheduled to turn herself in later on this week.

We’re sorry to hear this, but we have a feeling ole girl will feel quite at home among those rough-neck burly girls up in the pen.

Nia Long, Diddy, and Gabrielle Union Run From Bullets in ATL

A grip of celebs ran for cover after someone got dumped on at club Dreamz in ATL last night:

ATLANTA — What started out as a fun Friday night quickly turned into a frightening experience for patrons of an Atlanta nightclub early Saturday morning.

DeKalb County police said gunfire erupted at a celeb-filled party held at Club Dreams at 3595 Clairmont Road around 3 a.m. The party, which kicked off the third annual So So Def Summerfest weekend, was hosted by Atlanta-based music mogul Jermaine Dupri.

Invited guests for the star-studded weekend include R&B singer Usher, actress Sanaa Lathan, actress Regina King, actress Nia Long, actor Larenz Tate & actress Gabrielle Union, and many more celebrities according to the event’s website. Authorities told WSB-TV one person was struck by a bullet. Authorities said the injury is not life-threatening.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

“The shooting was an isolated incident,” said a representative for So So Def Summerfest Weekend SMH.
