Industry Biz: LAX Pushed Back…AGAIN?!!!!

Originally set June 24, then later moved to July 8, The Game’s third album, LAX, has now been pushed back again. Now, the set is due to hit stores July 22.

The release date has moved around a lot. Its original June 24 release date conflicted with G-Unit’s T.O.S. (Terminate on Sight) date, but both were pushed back.

When it moved to July 8, Game took it as a challenge since G-Unit’s album is slated for July 1, but now, it’s moved back even further.

So far, the Compton rapper’s first single, “Game’s Pain,” sits at no. 26 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Other tracks on the album, according to Billboard.com, include the Lil Wayne-assisted “My Life,” “Angel” featuring Common, “Camera Phone” and “A Thug and a Gentleman,” both featuring Ne-Yo, “Us Live” with Chrisette Michelle,” “Put Ya Hands Up” with Busta Rhymes and the promotional single “Dope Boys,” with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.

An accompanying video for the latter is currently in the works.

The album also includes guests from a who’s who in the hip-hop world including Ice Cube, Raekwon, Ludacris, Bilal and Raheem DeVaughn, while production credits go to A-list beatmakers like Cool & Dre, Irv Gotti, Nottz, J.R. Rotem, Scott Storch, DJ Toomp, Hi-Tek and Kanye West.
