Here is banger Faren Williams on the cover of the “prestigious” Smooth Magazine. Damn, that’s Whassup, you can sleep on those and ___________one hell of a _________.
Russell Simmons wants to set the record straight regarding yesterday’s child support ruling:
“The fact is, we’ve had a pretty good partnership at sharing the girls in the past. There have been a few bumps in the road, and those bumps have led us to negotiate a minimum amount of time I’m guaranteed to see my kids. That deal is as follows: I have the girls one full week out of every eight, half of the summer, half of all the holidays, a full week at Christmas, and half of Spring Break.
Like in all good partnerships, contracts are meant to protect the partners but are usually not the only way the partners work together. If I show up in L.A., where she now lives, unannounced, I can call up Kimora and she will most likely send them right over. The same goes for when she comes to New York. We have always had a school in New York and a school with the same curriculum in L.A., so when the girls are with me in New York, we can spend quality time together. I can get up with them, take them to school and just be together.
Kimora consults with me about doctors or schools for the girls, but she’s always had final say in those areas. If we had an argument about a school, guess who’s going to win? But there are other
stipulations in our agreement where we have to make final decisions together. Anything having to do with business decisions pertaining to my kids cannot be done without my consent.I’ve also seen a lot about people reading into the supervised visits stipulation. Kimora travels with a security guard and a nanny. In the past, she’s gotten really nervous that I never travel with security,
so if it makes her more comfortable to have her security and a nanny with us when I’m with my kids, that’s OK with me.Finally, I want to say Kimora is a excellent mother and is doing a great job with them. My kids are studying a couple of foreign languages, they travel around the world, they practice yoga, ballet,
swimming, karate and piano, among other things…sometimes I think they do too much, but I trust in Kimora on this because she IS a good mother. Regarding the money, my kids live a tremendous life. They do have lots of security, nannies, educators, special programs, travel, chefs, on and on. Their mother manages all of those luxuries and I’m happy to provide for that.”
Nuff said. One thing is for sure. This brotha is never short on words (except for when he’s closing out Def Comedy Jam).
Dr. Jan Adams is living a slipping down life:
“The plastic surgeon who operated on rap star Kanye West’s mom the day before she died was busted for drunken driving early yesterday - his third such arrest since 2004, cops said.
Dr. Jan Adams, 54, was driving his 2004 Jaguar south in the northbound lanes of a highway near Benicia, Calif., when freaked-out drivers reported him at 2:41 a.m., authorities said. Adams, of Laguna Beach, was taken to Solano County Jail to await arraignment Monday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08% or higher and driving with a suspended license.”
And according to TMZ, he lost his medical license for failure to pony up child support payments. It’s pretty much curtains for ole for the Shady Dr. Adams. Pathetic.
Hovvy Hov may be making yet another power move in quest to be the “4th Black American Billionaire.”

More news from MiMi-Land for you this morning:
“Mariah Carey’s marriage won’t last more than six months, according to friends. The 38-year-old singer, who wed rapper Nick Cannon in April, is so demanding her new husband won’t be able to cope with her diva-like behavior.
One pal close to Mariah revealed 27-year-old Nick has become a source of ridicule for her friends and associates. The source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: “I give the marriage six months, tops. I can’t see it lasting.
Nick does whatever Mariah wants him to - he’s like her puppy. It seems like he spends more time in the stores with Mariah’s credit card than he does with Mariah herself. Mariah’s assistants and friends call him ‘Whipped Nick’ behind his back. They have little respect for him because he won’t stand up for himself.
However, a friend of Nick’s has vehemently denied the relationship is already in trouble, insisting Nick and Mariah are perfect for each other. The pal said: ‘Mariah needs someone to dote on her.’”
Honestly, we’d expect nothing less from this counterfeit couple. It’s a wonder they’ve even lasted this long. SMH.
Jordin Sparks lays it all out in this upcoming issue of Jet Magazine:
“The young star, whose hit single No Air topped the Billboard Pop charts, opens up to Jet about her recent vocal cord hemorrhage that could have ended her career. That was one of the scariest feelings I’ve ever felt, Sparks recalls. She also discusses the latest Internet gossip that she was recently married to her alleged boyfriend, singer/model Steph Jones. I’m only 18-years-old. I’m not getting married for a while, she said.”
Lil Miss Chipper looks like she’s been putting in some time on the treadmill. Not bad, she still has the curves where it counts.
So good, we had to do it twice.
During his trip to London, the press asked if he was interested in getting down with politics, Hovvy Hov responded:
“No, they’ll kill me in 30 seconds. ‘S**t! This guy’s in!’ Bang! Ha ha! I won’t make it past the primaries! “They talk about Obama’s priest - imagine what they’d do to me!”
Steve Wonder is also in the news again. The music legend caught some feelings over Nas’ choice for the name of his newest album title (despite the fact that it’s been changed):
“I’m not with the word only [Ni**er] in that we had buried the word and it should have been buried. “People say, ‘Well we use it for fun and whatever.’ I’m not really feeling it and I know sometimes it comes in (to) conversation… For all the pain that has happened over the years, what that word brings up, it needs to go away.”

Talk about opening up old wounds…J Lo is being forced to testify in the infamous night club shooting case against Diddy:”
Jennifer Lopez has been subpoenaed to testify in a lawsuit filed against hip-hop mogul Sean Combs over his involvement in a 1999 New York club shooting. The Latina was dating Combs at the time of the incident, and was present at the now-defunct Club New York when shots were fired in the venue on 27 December 1999, injuring two people.
Combs’ rap protege Shyne, real name Jamal Barrow, is currently serving a 10-year jail term after he was found guilty of assault, reckless endangerment and gun possession in the trial following the shooting. The rap heavyweight was arrested for various charges including weapons violations, but was acquitted of all counts. However, both Combs and Shyne are currently fighting a $130 million (GBP65 million) civil suit filed by victim Natania Reuben, who was shot in the face during the incident.
Combs completed his deposition in the case in March (08), but now Lopez must reveal all she knows at an upcoming deposition after being served by Reuben’s lawyers last week (ends20Jun08). She was not called as a witness in the 2001 criminal trial and split from Combs shortly afterwards.
A judge will soon be required to decide whether Shyne acted alone or as part of Combs’ Bad Boy collective - the record label the hip-hop giant founded in 1993 - before the case goes to trial.
If both Combs and Shyne are required to stand trial, it will be up to a jury to decide who should take responsibility for the shooting.
Shyne, who did not testify during the criminal trial, may be required to take the stand and testify about the incident. He is currently incarcerated at the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York State, and could be released as early as next year (09).

The 37-year-old, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested Friday on charges of attempting to purchase cocaine and attempting to purchase marijuana, according to a Miami-Dade Police Department arrest report.
Simmons was arrested during a narcotics sting operation, according to the report. His bail was set at $6,000, online jail records show.DMX has recently had a string of run-ins with the law.
